Britney Spears was showered with love this week by both the general public and a slew of celebrities – what the 39-year-old gets for bravely posting a bath photo as the world continues its frenzy over her conservatorship battles. Posting for her 31.2 million Instagram followers on Wednesday, the princess of pop shared a sultry bath time moment as she went unclothed and proved that sexy can totally be classy.
Britney Spears shares bath time on Instagram
See the photo below. Britney’s Instagram has been gaining followers at a rapid rate since June 23 marked her addressing a Los Angeles court judge. Britney, who called her 2008-commenced conservatorship “abusive” as she detailed performing against her will and being forced to take Lithium, had kept her dramas well out of it. The “Toxic” singer’s sensual snap showed her photographed from behind for an impressive back muscle display, plus a little curve.
Surrounded by a somewhat messy bathroom and freshly-drawn bath, the Grammy winner wore only a necklace, also hiding her face. While Britney spent much of 2020 and 2021 claiming she’s happy, she recently admitted it was all lies as she addressed her fans with honesty. Despite the “traumatized” state she reported in a 24-minute court appeal in June, Spears appeared happy in a subsequent Hawaii vacation. She offered no location today, also no caption.
Britney’s fanbase is now heavy on the celebrity presence, with #FreeBritney supporters including stars from Miley Cyrus to Mariah Carey. The famous faces seemed impressed by Britney’s update today – alongside sister Jamie Lynn Spears, likes were left by model Bella Hadid, actress Selma Blair, High School Musical alum Vanessa Hudgens, plus model Ireland Baldwin.
“Britney’s back” comments on Instagram
Britney’s fans are definitely up for puns. “Britney’s back! That’s the best,” came from 48-year-old Selma Blair. Others, meanwhile, simply wrote: “Free Britney!!”
Amid the influx of supportive replies, there were also some suspect ones. Fans have long been alleging that the singer has no control over her social media, with users today quickly asking where her tattoos are. “Wtf this isn’t Britney,” one wrote, with another saying: “WHERE ARE HER TATTOOS THOUGH?!?!”
Britney may not have shown any emotion today, but she expressed plenty in a rapid-speech plea in court, one that even saw the judge asking her to slow down.
“I’ve lied and told the whole world I’m OK and I’m happy. It’s a lie. I thought that maybe if I said it enough, I would maybe become happy because I’ve been in denial. I’ve been in shock. I am traumatized … I’m so angry it’s insane. And I’m depressed,” Spears stated.
Britney’s request to have her father removed as her conservator has since been denied, although this was not a response to the court appeal.
