Carrie Underwood is proving she’s quite the catch – literally. The 38-year-old country singer and clothing designer wowed her Instagram followers with an impressive summary of her lake fishing trip, bringing the “Cry Pretty” hit-maker all abs while in a little bikini.
Posting for her 10.3 million followers to show off her skills, Carrie shared the array of fish she’d caught, seemingly proving that 2010-married husband Mike Fisher isn’t the only skilled fisherman in the family. The American Idol winner also had her fans eyeing up her cheese-grater abs – nothing new for the star whose Fit52 app is now a cult thing.
Carrie Underwood shows off impressive catch
See the photos below. Carrie, who grows her own vegetables and this year stunned fans by picking onions in the rain, continued the DIY vibe that’s a theme in her Find Your Path diet and exercise book, one offering as much of a nutrition angle as a fitness one.
The mom-of-two, wearing a super-tiny, patterned and monochrome bikini, highlighted her rock-hard abs as she smiled from behind shades – fans immediately got the fishing vibe as Carrie held up a moderate-sized fish.
You swipe, you get. Carrie’s next photo showed her proudly holding up a massive fish while in selfie mode. The CALIA by Carrie founder, posing from a boat closed her gallery with an oooh-face, one seemingly feeling a little sorry for the poor fish no longer alive.
“Feeeeeeshies!” Carrie wrote with appropriate fish emoji. The blonde also told fans she was “just saying hi” via hashtags not limited to #LakeLife and #CatchandRelease. Quick to like the post was fellow mom-of-two and all-around Southern girl Jamie Lynn Spears.
Underwood, who grew up on a farm and instills wholesome values into sons Jacob and Isaiah, last year told Women’s Health that knowing where food stems from is important to her. The star’s property houses eight chickens – sometimes, she’ll eat the eggs.
“I just love knowing where things come from,” Carrie revealed.
In August 2020, Carrie made headlines for actually out-doing former NHL player husband Mike as the two took a fishing trip. Carrie clearly caught the bigger one, with her husband sharing each half’s catch as he wrote:
"“This past weekend we were able to get away for some good quality time! One thing we love to do together is fly fish but the thing I don’t like about it is she catches bigger fish.”"
