Shanna Moakler just sold her engagement ring from Travis Barker for a lower price than expected

Shanna Moakler has officially moved on from her ex-husband Travis Barker, and she’s not looking back under any circumstances.

Following the marriage of Barker and his partner Kourtney Kardashian, the 47-year-old celebrity took to US Weekly to confirm that she did, in fact, sell the engagement ring Barker gave her in 2003 when he proposed to her at Disneyland.

“Nobody expects a happy marriage to end … and nobody ever hopes to let go of sentimental and valuable things,” Moakler told US Weekly.

The media outlet reports that, at the time of the proposal, the ring was estimated to be worth $160,000. Moakler hoped to get $120,00 for it. However, in desperation to get rid of the piece of jewelry she no longer held any sentiment towards, Moakler opted to sell her ring for a lower price.

As stated before, Shanna Moakler expressed that the ring’s worth was over $100,000. But, in the end, she sold the piece to Worthy where the highest bidder purchased it for $96,500.

In having both Barker and Kardashian’s wedding in mind and knowing Moakler didn’t profit from the sale as much as she thought she would, many assumed the celebrity would be somewhat bitter about her current reality. On the contrary, she’s extremely grateful to finally put her previous marriage behind her and move forward.

“I wanted to thank worthy.com for making the most out of a beautiful time in my life,” Moakler told US Weekly. “I hope the highest bidder truly loves the piece as much as I did. It was a smooth and easy process … Looking forward to the future!”

In addition to commenting on the bright road ahead of her, Moakler also wanted to set the record straight regarding those who believe she’s purposely sold the ring after Barker and Kardashian’s wedding for the sake of attention.

“I’m sure people would assume that [it’s related to the wedding], but I simply wanted to find a proper seller and Worthy.com is the most professional and I know will give this piece the attention it deserves,” Moakler added.

Although we don’t yet know what’s in store for Shanna Moakler, we do know that she’s $96,500 richer and has her whole life ahead of her. Perhaps she’ll have another place a ring on her finger in the future.
