Remember when Kim Kardashian came under fire for her perspective on work culture?

Get ready to rehash the sticky situation because The Kardashians‘ upcoming sophomore season is slated to shed some light on how Kardashian really feels about the public’s anger, as well as what her close friends and family had to say about her statement.

Page Six reports that Kim Kardashian seemed rather remorseful in the brand-new trailer of Hulu’s The Kardashians season 2. In the video, we hear the 41-year-old celebrity express how she was “mortified” about the backlash but, overall, understood where the frustration was coming from.

See all this and more in the official trailer of The Kardashians season 2 below.

Of course, the world has since moved on from the situation, understanding that, as amazing and successful as she is, Kardashian still has some ways to go. However, now that the controversial statement was brought back to life, it seems fans are re-remembering how detrimental her pro-work statements were to the public.

Fans disprove of The Kardashians season 2 trailer

We took to Reddit to observe how fans of the Kardashian-Jenner clan feel about the new trailer. While there were a few people who were excited about what’s to come, it seems the majority of the KUWTK subreddit expressed that season 2 not only looked very unamusing but also very calculated; specifically, when it came to Kim Kardashian’s image.

As far as Kardashian’s Vogue comment, fans agree with Khloe Kardashian that “no one sympathizes” with the Skims founder, but believe that this is simply the consequence of her own actions.

“Poor Kimbo! No one sympathizes with a millionaire living in a 20,000 square foot megamansion,” one Reddit user stated. “I’m supposed to sympathize with a millionaire while I’m fighting to keep [a] roof over my head? This family is so out of touch.”

Another stated, “Not them trying to make Kim the victim” — a statement that went on to get plenty of upvotes.

From the looks of it, many don’t believe Kim Kardashian is genuinely apologetic about expressing how “nobody wants to work these days.” Mostly because the reality star initially tried to put the blame on Vogue’s editing team rather than own up to her words.

“Well, that statement that I said was without questions and conversation around it,” Kardashian expressed to Good Morning America. “It became a sound bite, really with no context.”

It’s clear that Kardashian’s statement, as well as her attempted apology tour, still rubs many the wrong way. Perhaps the episode in which the controversy is covered will address fans’ doubts and suspicions so that she can finally be forgiven. Perhaps not.

We’ll have to wait until Hulu‘s The Kardashians season 2 streams Thursday, Sept. 22 to find out all the answers to our burning questions.
