Fans drag The Kardashians after Kim asks for feedback on their Hulu show
By Diana Nosa
Fans have stuck by the Kardashian-Jenner family through thick and thin, but this time, it seems they’re just about ready to jump ship after the Hulu reality series, The Kardashians, failed to keep their attention yet again. Kim Kardashian just stepped in to ask for feedback.
Yahoo! reports that the Skims founder took to Twitter to ask fans what they would like to see in the upcoming third season of the reality title. Some fans expressed minimal desires, such as the need for more family pranks or a family vacation trip here or there. However, most fans did not hold back on their feedback, letting us know that if the Kardashians don’t change their format soon, their Hulu title may be at risk of cancellation.
Why fans aren’t loving The Kardashians on Hulu
In addition to a few more fun moments, fans told Kim Kardashian that they have grown bored with the family tiptoeing around real issues, including (but not limited to) legal cases, breakups, and public backlash.
“Something needs to change. The show feels like an infomercial,” one fan replied. “Khloe as always is the only one sharing the real and the raw. We wanna see the Kanye drama, Travis Scott rumors, ray j controversy, etc. Also more kiddos. And less kravis PDA.”
Another issue fans agreed on was the fact that The Kardashians feels very scripted and overly manipulated; the raw and authentic moments of the series are nowhere to be found.
“Drama Kimberly !!! I wanna see more of what we got in the early seasons of KUWTK,” another fan added. “You guys were so authentic and we could connect to you guys. This new show feels like a YouTube vlog, it just doesn’t feel authentic. Everything seems so controlled.”
Which advice the Hulu series will keep in mind and which they’ll toss to the side is something that we will find out in the third season of the series. But even so, with Kourtney Kardashian already confirming the production of the new installment, it’s possible we might not see the change until the fourth season.
By then, however, it may be too late. As of today, Rotten Tomatoes audiences have given the sophomore season a score of 25%, along with many reviews that regard the series as “disappointing” and “tired.”
Only time will tell if The Kardashians is worth saving.
