Fans can assume how Kanye “Ye” West is faring now that he and Kim Kardashian are officially divorced. But how does she feel after it’s all said and done?

Yahoo! News reports that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is doing very well now that she and West have finally officially separated after months of a tumultuous journey that caused the star immense stress.

“Finalizing her divorce from Kanye has been one of the happiest days of her life. She feels like she dodged a bullet,” the insider revealed. “Kanye is completely heartbroken.”

Not only did Kim Kardashian dodge a bullet regarding Kanye West’s erratic behavior that often led to the musician insulting her family and her romantic partners, but she also avoided being West’s partner during his social media meltdown.

Fortunately for the Skims founder, she left just in time, leaving her career and her name more successful than it was prior to her six-year marriage. But how are the couple’s four kids — North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm — coping with this new reality?

How Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are co-parenting

Per the media outlet, the insider confirmed that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have joint custody of their children, so the kids will be able to spend an equal amount of time with each parent. Only, they most likely won’t see both parents in the same place at the same time.

“[West’s] only ties to Kim now are their children, but she technically doesn’t have to interact with him,” the insider added. “It can all be done through a third party.”

The only iffy aspect of the joint custody is the matter of where the kids attend school, as West has expressed his desire to enroll the children in his private school, Donda Academy, while Kardashian would rather have them elsewhere.

During an interview with Tucker Carlson, West expressed:

"Right now we’ve come to a compromise — but I’m not finished because I don’t compromise — but we’ve come to a compromise that my kids come to my school after school and they learn choir. I sat there with [Psalm] and he came in and said, ‘why do I have to sing? I don’t even go to your school. So imagine a 16-year-old version of that guy, or the 26-year-old version of that guy, where the father doesn’t have a sayso of what the kids are watching, what the kids are wearing, what the kids are eating, or who the kids are hanging out with."

It is unknown to us whether the celebrities have reached an agreement on their children’s schooling. But since both have joint custody and have equal say, we assume this issue, as well as other issues involving the family, may not be resolved so quickly.

Hopefully, Kim Kardashian will continue to be in good spirits post-divorce. Only time will tell, though, what lies ahead for her, Kanye West, and the kids.
