See Kim Kardashian in Dolce and Gabbana Spring 2023 campaign
Showing off her dreamy and sensual side! Kim Kardashian made her #DGSS23 spokesmodel debut in the Spring campaign film for the Italian designers Dolce and Gabbana. The SKIMS founder and The Kardashians star can be seen lounging around in faux leopard fur, velvet, and lace in the thirty-one-second black-and-white noir-styled film. Her hair is in a light blond hue for the campaign, playing a dramatic contrast with the lighting and tones of the piece.
On both Kim’s Instagram and Twitter, she posted the clip along with its description:
“The new #DGSS23 campaign shot by @mertalas and @macpiggott moves through an intimate dimension, dimmed by the density of black and white hues, in the vast halls of an Italian villa. A collection rooted in #DGDNA and resulting in a reinterpretation of #DolceGabbana iconic archival pieces.”
The #CiaoKim collection, or KIM X DOLCE&GABBANA, as it is called, is influenced by some of the brand’s 1990s and turn of the 21st-century iconic pieces. With reimagination, the fashions are “taken on a journey ” where they “take on a whole new meaning through reinvention,” according to Dolce and Gabbana.
“Are we dreaming?” Kim whispers as she treks through the expansive and luxurious rooms of an 18th-century Italian villa. The fashion photographer team produced the film, Mert&Marcus, whose clients include Vogue and W Magazine. Kim’s golden locks were styled by Chris Appleton, while her makeup was the artistry of Makeup by Ariel.
The #CiaoKim collection and t-shirts adorned with black-and-white vintage-style snaps of Kim can be accessed on the Dolce and Gabbana website.
Dolce and Gabbana designs the Kardashian-Barker Wedding
Kim is not the only one who donned a DG gown. Older sister Kourtney and her husband, Travis Barker, had their entire Italian May 2022 wedding wardrobe, including Kourtney’s Virgin Mary veil and the wedding party’s, designed by Dolce and Gabbana. According to the outlet Page Six, the wedding (which had a gothic romantic theme) and its ceremonial events brought in millions for the high-end fashion brand.
With the Kardashian name working for them, there is no doubt that Dolce and Gabbana will continue collaborations.
