Just eight months later, the Met Gala returned for its original May date, and Kim brought some Marilyn Monroe magic to the event. The hopeful lawyer borrowed the original Bob Mackey dress to wear on the Red Carpet but quickly changed into a replica for the indoors. Although Kim was only trying to preserve Marilyn’s legacy and trying to create her moment, there were mixed opinions about the star wearing the dress and claimed further damage was done to it.

Both Ripley’s and Kim denied that she had done any wrongdoing and if there was any risk to the piece, then she would not have worn it.

To achieve the blonde bombshell look, Kim underwent fourteen hours of bleaching her naturally dark hair, risking potential hair loss. Nowadays, she’s back to her black locks and embracing what God gave her.
