Kourtney Kardashian gives peek at the Tour Wife life and why she’ll defend her Dickies
Kourtney Kardashian is living in the moment of being a blink-182 “Tour Wife.” The Poosh founder gave her 220 million+ followers a peek inside via an Instagram carousel containing snaps of life on the road, concert moments, a DC date night, and some adorable selfies. One even includes a sweet closeup of Kourtney and her younger sister, Kim Kardashian, when they attended the Brooklyn show on Wednesday night.
“Rock shows and sights,” Kourtney captioned her post.
Her hubby even left an adorably sweet comment for his wife.
“Tour Wife,” penned Travis and leaving a drum, devil horns, and panting emojis.
Over the past few weeks, The Kardashians personality has been candid about touring. She even spent hers and blink-182 drummer Travis Barker’s first anniversary of their majestic Portofino wedding, cuddling in a lavish New York City hotel.
While many of us would be envious of Kourtney’s life, for she has a loving and supporting husband and style to die for, some voiced their concern on Kourtney’s post, whether the Lemme fonder’s changed because of a man, especially when it came to wearing Dickies, a utility brand that is a punk rock staple.
“That would be so out of place if she wore them Dickies before she was with Travis,” the commenter said.
Naturally, the mother of three snapped back at the naysayer in her classic way.
“They’re his, I stole them so that would be out of place but I’ve worn dickies pants since the 90s duh,” Kourtney said back.
This is one of many times that Kourtney defended herself against the trolls. When someone questioned the reality star if she was pregnant on her behind-the-scenes Lemme post for her Purr supplement, her response was explanatory.
“I only acknowledge this comment because I think it’s important to know how IVF [in-vitro fertilization] affects women’s bodies, and it’s not spoken about much,” she replied. “Also, are we still asking women if they’re pregnant?”
Speaking of IVF, Kourtney opened up to Khloé on the season 3 premiere of The Kardashians, regarding her and Travis’s IVF journey. The couple came to the decision they’re finished with the treatment process. The addition of another baby is in God’s hands now. The older sister further explained about her eggs being frozen, and how it’s not always a guarantee.
“When I was 38 or 39, everyone was like pushing me to do that. Most of mine didn’t survive the thaw because eggs are one cell, and none of them made it into an embryo,” Kourtney elaborated. “The freezing of eggs isn’t guaranteed. It’s a misunderstanding, people do it thinking it’s a safety net, and it’s not.”
The KUWTK alum emphasized IVF played a critical role in her health and well-being. The process left her feeling exhausted and unenergized. Finally, after 10 months of ending the treatments, Kourtney regained energy and was back to her old self.
For the time being Kourtney’s primary focus (and always has been) is being the best mom to her three children: Mason, Penelope, and Reign, all of whom she shares with her ex-partner, Scott Disick.
“My health is still impacted because it’s hormones, and mentally it definitely took a toll. I think being happy is what’s important and being a good parent to my kids. We’re just embracing that whatever is meant to be will be.”
