Kylie Jenner went to the courthouse and had the name of her and Travis Scott, her ex’s son, Aire Webster, officially legalized. Various outlets, including People and E!, obtained document copies of the name change on June 26th, more than a year after the KUWTK alum announced that she and Travis changed their 16-month-old’s name from Wolf Jacques Webster.
“FYI, our son’s name isn’t Wolf anymore,” Kylie shared in her Instagram Stories in March 2022. “We just really didn’t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere.”
The reality star and the rapper tossed potential names back and forth before deciding on a permanent moniker that suited their son best. During the second season of The Kardashians, Kylie opened up about how Travis was throwing the names around.
“Travis actually still changes his name a few times. He’ll come back and be like, ‘I really like this name.’ And then, for the day, he’ll call him that. And I’m like, ‘We can’t do this again.'”
In January, the mother of two unveiled her baby’s new name in a sweet Instagram Carousel. Kylie shows off her son and embraces him after shielding his face on her social channels for several months.
“Aire,” the Kylie Cosmetics founder captioned her post ending it with a white heart emoji. A fan asked in the comments how the new name was pronounced, as it has a couple of ways. to say it. One may pronounce it as Airy, Aree, or the natural element of Air but with an “e” at the end.
“It’s Air,” Kylie confirmed to the fan.
A little over a week later, Aire celebrates his first birthday, a day apart from his older sister Stormi Webster. Kylie shared an adorable reel of Aire’s first year in film clips, calling him her “moon, stars, and angel,” respectively.
Aire is growing up quickly, and his mother wants to capture his life moments. For her Mother’s Day post, Kylie holds her children and gives them loving gazes.
For those wondering, Aire defines as the “Lion of God” in Hebrew.
