Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian take North West to Alexandria House
Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian taught North West the true meaning of the holidays when they took a day trip to the Alexandria House, a 501(c )3 nonprofit that provides transitional assistance for impoverished women and children. The organization is one of the sisters’ favorites to donate to and has been highlighted on Keeping Up With Kardashians.
Nearly five years later, Kim returns to the House and takes her daughter and Khloé. Both women desire to instill good values in their children, and just because they’re blessed in life doesn’t mean they shouldn’t give back.
“I have been coming to the Alexandria House for such a long time now, and I think it’s an amazing place,” the mother of four said on The Kardashians season three finale. “Anytime that I could do something to help other women out, I would love to do it, and I’m bringing my daughter [because] she’s really old enough to understand it, and I wanted her to see for herself.”
During their time at the Alexandria House, the family listened to the women’s stories, snapped selfies, provided makeovers, and gave them gifts to help them move into their futures.
“The Alexandria House does such an amazing job,” Kim said in the episode’s confessional. “Just being able to support these women and have something [really] special for each of them makes me so happy because they feel a little bit more supported, especially during the holidays.”
As the segment was filmed in December 2022, Kim and Khloé posted their experiences via Instagram, and both True Thompson and her cousin, Dream Kardashian, attended the gathering.
Why the Alexandria House is special to Kim Kardashian, her family, and why she wanted North West to see it
The nonprofit was founded in 1996 by director Judy Vaughan and, since its opening, has been and will always be a safe haven for women and children. Kim and her family have been patrons for a long time, and hope that the next generation of the Kardashian children will follow in their footsteps.
As North was brought in in a well-off environment and family, Kim wants her to learn that others may not as be as fortunate as them, and if allowing her to see that type of reality up close, then North will be more grateful for what she has, and extend her heart out to goodness.
Additionally, following the KUWTK episode, the Alexandria House was spotlighted, donations poured in from the viewers, with one of them totaling one million.
