Season 12 of American Horror Story Delicate drops premiere date

The forthcoming 12th season of American Horror Story, AHS: Delicate, has dropped its premiere date. The anthology series has been an FX (Disney Corp.) staple since 2011 and featured a long list of spooky tales, including Freak Show and Asylum.

Now add a baby to the list and Kim Kardashian.

The 12th season will drop on Wednesday, September 20th, on the FX Network and the streaming service Hulu the following day. The narrative of the latest AHS installment will be a twisted and harrowing take on the 60’s cult hit Rosemary’s Baby and the upcoming novel (August 17th) by Danielle Valentine, Delicate Condition.

The book’s synopsis and the inspiration for Delicate is as follows:

“A woman is convinced a sinister figure is going to great lengths to ensure that her pregnancy never happens, while the men in her life refuse to believe a word she says.”

This will also be the first season divided into two parts, meaning the first half will air, followed by the next half, which will air later. However, it’s unclear if the latter part will come right after or if there’ll be a lengthy hiatus. Although FX didn’t specify why AHS: Delicate will be divided, fans and potential watchers theorize that it may have to do with the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes as they halted film and productions.

Or it could be a plan implemented by FX to keep the audiences on their toes as they wait for the conclusion.

A while back, FX released the first teaser trailer for AHS: Delicate, which features a platinum-blonde Kim holding a newborn and wearing a liquified black dress. Now, the network dropped the official promotional poster, with the reality star front and center and a Black Widow nearly swallowing her.

At this year’s Met Gala, which Kim attended with her younger sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, she revealed that she underwent acting lessons to help her prepare for her AHS role. The mom of four will portray Siobhan Walsh, an actress of the late 90s and the Y2K era.

UPDATE AUGUST 22ND:

FX released the first full teaser for American Horror Story: Delicate. The promo has a lot more spiders this time, and a clearer focus is set on Kim.
