Kim Kardashian gets hung up by Usher in new Super Bowl LVIII Ad
Kim Kardashian may have been “hung up” by megastar Usher?! In a fun Super Bowl ad released by Apple Music, that’s precisely what happened to the socialite. See why!
In a hilarious Super Bowl LVIII ad, brought to you by Apple Music, Kim tells the Grammy winner via phone that he’ll headline the Apple Music Halftime Show at Super Bowl 58 on February 11th, 2024, in Las Vegas. Usher is obviously in disbelief about Kim’s nonchalant news, so much so that the “Yeah” singer hangs up on her.
Seriously, who would hang up on Kim?
In their conversation, the SKIMS founder tells Usher (whom she had seen in concert TWICE) that he’ll be playing in the Super Bowl.
“I finally got the answer to this rumor,” Kim says to him. “It’s not about me; it’s about you. You’re playing the Super Bowl [LVIII] Halftime Show in Vegas!”
“Now, for real, don’t play like that,” the Atlanta, Georgia native tells her.
“I don’t have time to play. I’m busy, too. You’re doing the Super Bowl.”
“Are you serious?”
The career-boosting news blows Usher because playing on football’s biggest night is a huge deal.
This would be Usher’s second performance in the halftime show. His first gig was at Super Bowl XLV in 2011, when he collaborated with the group The Black-Eyed Peas.
In a statement released by the NFL on September 24th, Usher expresses his gratitude for the opportunity.
“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list,” he shares. “I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”
When and where will Super Bowl LVIII happen?
The big game between two playoff champions will happen on February 11th, 2024, at the Allegiant Stadium (home of the Las Vega Raiders) in Paradise, Nevada, adjacent to Las Vegas.
When did Kim Kardashian attend Usher’s concerts?
Kim and her younger sister, Khloé Kardashian, jet-setted to Vegas in April to see Usher perform. Faulty weather prevented Kim’s original plans to see the “Confessions” singer for her birthday last October, so the pair made it a point to replan.
Usher went off stage during the show to serenade Kim, much to her pleasure.
