Nothing says the 2000s, or as we like to call it here at Kardashian Dish, the Y2K Era, than one of the greatest girl groups of all time, Destiny's Child. Comprised of Beyoncé, Michelle Williams, and Kelly Rowland, Destiny's Child scored multiple Grammys, albums, and fashion moments throughout their tenure. Additionally, the women have garnered millions of fans worldwide and remain beloved to this day.
So, you can imagine everyone's surprise when Rowland and Williams appeared on stage during Beyoncé's performance at her last stop for her Cowboy Carter Tour in Las Vegas at the Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, July 26. It was a reunion, to say the least, as Destiny's Child serenaded the crowd with the tracks, including "Independent Woman Part One," that made the group famous.
It hadn't been since 2018 that Beyoncé, Kelly, and Michelle performed together at a Coachella Music Festival. That's seven years ago, and it's always a magical and submersive embodiment when they do. The Vegas show only magnified it, given that there had been a long period since their last stage meetup.
For the fans who missed out on the live Destiny's Child "concert," Beyoncé uploaded a pair of Instagram posts on July 27 that celebrated the moment.
In the first of the two, the ladies are all wearing gold costumes reflecting their early days as a group. Williams gives the smiling Beyoncé a sisterly peck on the cheek while Rowland continues to sing. Despite disbanding in 2006 to pursue other projects, the snap's aura makes it non-existent. The women have always had a close harmony, and the Vegas reunion only amplified that.
While Queen Bey didn't provide a caption for the post (she usually doesn't), I don't think one is needed, as the heartfelt emotions that was captured are pouring out.
In the second post, a Carousel shows some breathtaking concert portraits, as Destiny's Child hits the stage. The gold outfits are a striking contrast against the blue ambience and lighting. They know how to put on a show and their performance was an iconic way to close the 2025 Cowboy Carter Tour.
Many celebrities, such as Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian, attended Beyoncé's show in Vegas to become a part of the atmosphere and witness the Destiny's Child reunion. However, it's not just celebrities who had the privilege of witnessing history being made. They were all connected to it, though, as music can bring people together.
Could there be a Destiny's Child tour in the future?
That would be iconic, wouldn't it? Some fans in the comments asked whether there could be a Destiny's Child tour, as the reunion was a success and unexpected. But what better to finish off one of the financially record-breaking tours of all time, taking in $400 million.
As of this writing, no tour is planned. But you'll never know, because there could be one someday, and you can assure that like the Cowboy Carter Tour, it'll be show stopping.
