We all know Kim Kardashian as the Queen of Reality TV, but in recent years she has stepped up in another pursuit of hers; film. Over the last few years, she has grown significantly in the world of film. From rare guest star appearances in the early days of her career on tv shows to now taking on challenging roles. Here is my take on some of my favorite roles she has played so far.

Kim Kardashian enters her Hollywood Era
Ava in Tyler Perry's Temptation
One of her first notable performances was in 2013 when she played Ava in Tyler Perry's Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor. The film revolves around Judith, is a nan employee caught in the web of life's difficult choices. At the time, Perry faced some criticism with some not understanding his choice in casting Kim Kardashian for the role. However, he defended his decision, stating that her influence would help draw in a younger audience to watch the film. He always believed that the message of the film was important, with an emphasis on how one's choices can have great consequences.
Saturday Night Live
For a show known for its comedic celebrity skits and parodies, you would think Kardashian would shy away from such a place that thrives on ridicule and embraces imperfection, but she did quite the opposite. In 2021, Kim became the first member of her family to host SNL in a Kardashian-ified special.
She kicked off the night with a striking monologue, humorously poking fun at her family, including Caitlyn Jenner and Kris Jenner's boyfriend, Corey Gamble. Throughout the night, she showcased her comedic chops, starring in sketches alongside Pete Davidson, who was soon to be her boyfriend. In one memorable segment, they appeared in an Aladdin-inpred skit where they shared a kiss. She also participated in a Bachelorette-style skit, competing with celebrity suitors like Blake Griffin, Chris Rock, John Cena, Jesse Williams, Chace Crawford, and Tyler Cameron, highlighting her willingness to step outside her comfort zone and entertain.
Voice acting debut as Delores in the Paw Patrol franchise
In 2021, Kim Kardashian was in mommy mode when she joined the Paw Patrol franchise, her children's favorite show at the time. Kardashian played Delores, a newcomer poodle to the puppy rescue team. Two years later, she revisited her role in PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, this time alongside her children, Saint and North, who joined her as special co-stars. Kim's journey filming the movie was actually documented for fans on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Her first break-out role: American Horror Story
In 2023, Kim took a bold step into the American Horror Story universe on FX, appearing as Siobhan Walsh, the publicist for actress Anna Victoria Alcott, played by Emma Roberts, in Season. 12 of the series. Talking to Variety, she said, "It's really fun to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and grow." As we have seen over the years, Kim never shies away from an opportunity.
Following her success on American Horror Story, Deadline reported she is set to star in another Ryan Murphy project, this time as a successful L.A. divorce lawyer in All's Fair.
Her ode to Classic Hollywood
Kim Kardashian has openly expressed her admiration for classic Hollywood actresses like Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor. She has often aligned her image with these icons, showcasing her adoration through her fashion choices and public appearances.
Notably, she famously wore Marilyn Monroe's iconic gown to the Met Gala in 2022, paying homage to Monroe's timeless glamour. Additionally, she donned an Elizabeth Taylor-inspired ensemble at Demna's final couture show for Balenciaga in July this year.
