Kim Kardashian enjoyed her time in Italy last week. During her stay, she spent time with her daughter, North West, attended the Venice Film Festival, and was the Honorary Guest at the 16th DVF Awards. The mother of four is now taking a moment to reflect on her latest achievement, as she should, because one should be proud that they're making a difference.

At the DVF Awards, held on August 28 during the Festival, Kim was styled in a draping, cool gray dress designed by Glenn Martens for the French label Maison Margiela. The piece featured flowing elements, along with a high neck, cinched waist, and wide legs. Honestly, it looks like something out of a futuristic sci-fi film or series, as it's one of the current fall trends.

But I'm not here to judge, as long as Kim feels great, then that's what matters. Moving on, her glam was done by one of the family's makeup artists, Ariel Tejada, who created a smoky and soft look with kohl-rimmed eyes and a nude lip. Her dark locks were styled in a glossy straight look, and while it's not as eye-catching as her gray gown, it still exuded elegance with a simplistic flair.

Kim Kardashian tributes the one man who made her DVF Awards event possible

In her August 29 Instagram Carousel, Kim splashed across her slides as she attended the ceremony. Under the stage lights, her dress transformed from gray to a lush lavender as she was presented the Humanitarian Award for her commitment and passion for prison reform and advocating for better offender rights.

And as such, one of the people, Chris Young, whom she had assisted in appealing his two life sentences, was there to hand her the award. Young was sentenced for a very minor and nonviolent role in a drug-related crime. Since his release from prison in 2021, Young has undergone a significant life adjustment by attending college, becoming a public speaker to help navigate paths for others, and, per his website, ChrisYoungInspires.com, an entrepreneur

Young's story is one of inspiration, reflecting that you can be granted a second chance in life and resculpt it into something greater.

In her post's caption, Kim shed light on Young and how she was honored to have him as part of the DVF Awards.

"I am truly humbled to have received the humanitarian award. Not for what I have done, but for the work that we all still have to do. The real honor was having Chris Young introduce me, standing there free! After serving two life sentences and us working hard to get him home, now being in Venice, Italy, with us was so special."

Her work with reform will only continue to grow, as she'll be a voice for those who were given unfair and underserved treatment in the justice system. It's not an easy task, but one that should be addressed for humane values.
