Kim Kardashian is mourning the death of her sister Kylie Jenner's hairstylist, Jesus Guerrero, who abruptly passed away at the age of 34. His family confirmed the news over social media on February 23rd, complete with passages and photos honoring him.
For several years, Guerrero worked his talent on creating many of Kylie's gorgeous hairstyles for Red Carpet events and Fashion Week. Along with Kylie, he did his magic with other celebrities, including Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, and Kendall Jenner.
Guerrero's death came as a shock, as his last appearance was with Kylie on February 12th. She had just wrapped her Peach Sprinter event in Georgia and was preparing to attend the Berlin Film Festival with her boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet.
According to the GoFundMe page launched by his younger sister, Gris, Guerrero was "a son, a brother, an uncle, an artist, a friend, and so much more."
The accomplished hairstylist was the child of immigrants and came from Houston, Texas, per the GoFundMe's info. Guerrero's family initially set a $80,000 donation goal to cover funeral and transportation expenses, but it surpassed $90,000 in less than a day.
Kim Kardashian offers heartfelt condolences to the family of Jesus Guerrero
On February 24th, Kim took to her Instagram Stories and posted two photos of Guerrero. In the first image, she shared a group shot of herself, her family, and their entire glam team. These are the people who beautify the women, but their talent doesn't go unnoticed.
"Our glam fam means the world to us. We work together, vacation, and celebrate our lives together!," the SKIMS founder writes in her tribute. " Our great respect for the art of hair and make-up has led us to meeting some of the kindest souls and made some of our bestest friends. So, when one of our glam family members passes away, all of our souls are crushed. My heart breaks for Kylie and everyone who has loved Jesus the way we all did. I'm praying for his family, his loved ones, and the whole beauty community who feels the deep loss of the most talented and kindest to ever do it."
Kim ends her dedication with "Rest in Peace @jesushair 🕊️"
In the second photo, Kim lays before Jesus in black workout attire, with her dark locks combed straight. He, too, styled Kim's hair from time to time. h holds her iPhone up as she snaps the selfie and tags Jesus with another dove emoji.
