Clicking onto the official SKIMS Instagram page on an empty stomach might leave you salivating! Kim Kardashian has been going out of her way to promote her new SKIMS flagship location in Los Angeles. The interesting catch?
The promotion is being done with food instead of models! When Kim first launched SKIMS in September 2019, plenty of fashion lovers had no idea what was in store. Multiple years have passed since then, and the widespread love for SKIMS among customers has only bloomed.
That’s mainly because Kim is so dedicated to selling the comfiest shapeware and loungewear ever. It appears she's equally dedicated to launching some of the most attention-grabbing campaigns as well... like the latest one we're about to dive into. Here's what you should know about the food-themed ads she’s been posting on the official SKIMS Instagram account this week.
Kim Kardashian's SKIM posts might make you hungry
On March 30, Kim posted a pic highlighting six decadent-looking milkshakes. They look super chocolatey, covered with swirled whipped cream and maraschino cherries. The coasters and menu tucked into the shot showcase the word "SKIMS" as a major reminder of what she’s selling. She cleverly added a caption that said, “Los Angeles, something sweet is coming."
On March 31, Kim posted a pic of an extra tall stack of fluffy pancakes. The butter on the top pancake conveniently spells out the word "SKIMS" in the iconic font fans know and love. The caption she added says, “Everything is stacked in your favor, Los Angeles."
Right after, Kim uploaded a shot of an incredible breakfast spread one might enjoy during a hotel stay. It included toast, orange juice, syrup, coffee, milk, strawberries, and more. The mouthwatering image was accompanied by a caption that says, “Los Angeles, a new way to savor SKIMS is coming soon."
On April 1, Kim revealed that a SKIMS drive-in will be readily available to serve guests between April 2 and April 6. She made the announcement with a stunning shot of the building's exterior, and a thread of herself eating a tasty meal of her own.
Guests who visits the flagship location in Los Angeles will have a chance to chow down on tasty menu options while shopping for shapewear. You have to reserve a table before showing up, and you can do so by clicking the link in the bio of the official SKIMS page.
Kim Kardashian hasn’t stopped hiring real models forever
Since Kim is heavily focused on promoting the drive-in dining experience at SKIMS' Los Angeles flagship location, using images of food makes all the sense in the world right now. However, that doesn’t mean she’s going to forget about human models forever.
Throughout the month of March, Kim was sure to share pics of several beautiful models with different body shapes, sizes, and skin colors while promoting various items from her brand. It’s safe to say, hiring human model is something Kim will undoubtedly stick with in the future as well – and we can't wait to see it!
