In a surprise turn of events, Shakira made headlines at the 2024 Coachella Festival on Friday, April 12th. The Columbian singer recently dropped her latest studio album, "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran," her first since 2017. To celebrate the release of "Las Mujeres," Shakira will embark on a world tour!

Shakira was one of the many musical talents who popped up at Coachella unexpectedly. She joined Argentinian DJ Bizarrap on stage and was dressed brightly in a warm-colored fringe dress. Together, they performed "La Fuerte," which is off Shakira's "Las Mujeres." Following the mind-blowing collaboration, she took the opportunity to announce some exciting news regarding her world tour and appreciation to the audience.

"Good night, Coachella!" Shakira yelled to her immense crowd. "Thank you, Bizarrap, for inviting me! Truthfully, it's amazing being here with this audience, with you, my colleague, my friend."

Before she left the stage, Shakira dropped her tour news. The fans were overblown and surprised to say the least.

"I have something to share today. Biza, I'm going on tour! I'm going on tour finally starting here , this November, this year, this city . I can't wait. I couldn't ask for more!"

On Twitter, Shakira informed her followers on how to register for information and ticket presales.

"So stoked to finally announce that "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran" World Tour is happening," the "Whenever, Wherever" singer said. "Can't wait to be back on stage partying and celebrating with my wolfpack! Dates coming up soon!"

Shakira then attached a link and the hashtag, "#LMYNLWT" at the end of her text, followed by a photo of Bizarrap's Coachella's stage set.

The tour stops haven't been announced yet, but fans can expect to see Shakira in North America, her home continent of South America, Europe, Australia, Asia as the most likely stops with the Middle East, Great Britain, and Africa as strong possibilities.

What is the inspiration behind Shakira's "Las Mujeres Ya No LLoran" album?

Shakira said that the creativity for her new album stemmed from her painful breakup with her ex-partner, Spanish soccer player Gerard PiquΓ©. The couple, who share two sons, announced their split in June 2022, with the reasoning being career stress and PiquΓ©'s infidelity.

When appearing on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Shakira opened up about how being "husbandless" gave her the boost she needed to jumpstart her career and reign the charts again.

"Now, I'm husbandless! He was dragging me down. Now, I'm free! Now, I can actually work!""
