Travis Kelce won this past Sunday's game and is headed to Super Bowl LVIII on February 11th with his team, the Kansas City Chiefs. While Travis is excited about yet another possible monumental win, he won't be able to attend the Grammys with his sweetie, Taylor Swift, due to work commitments. However, he's giving her 1000% of his support when she attends the big awards show for music in Los Angeles.
"I wish I could go and support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every award that she's nominated for," Travis noted in Wednesday's episode of the ESPN show, The Pat McFee Show. "[But] I think got practice."
The teams playing for this year's big game are the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, who are set to play in Las Vegas at the Allegiant Stadium. Usher will be headlining the Apple Music Halftime Show, and in terms of ticket prices, they'll push you back a hefty $6300 for the cheapest seats, while the most expensive has a tag of $45,000, per the ticket site Stubhub.
Travis then explained on the show that Grammy Day could either be a "practice day" or a "travel day" for him and his team, as well as the 49ers. But anyone who knows just a trivial bit of football knows that it takes lots of practice and prep to play the Super Bowl, even if you're one of the best players in the NFL.
"Unfortunately, I gotta get ready for this big [old] Super Bowl that we gotta win," Travis adds.
Taylor Swift and her 2024 Grammys nominations
So Travis had made it crystal clear that he wouldn't be attending the Grammys with Taylor, but that doesn't deflect her big night, for she has earned several nominations for her music.
All in all, Taylor has six nominations, and if she wins even one, it'll be a huge (deserved) thing for her.
The six categories in which Taylor's nominated in:
- Album of the Year
- Record of the Year
- Song of the Year
- Best Pop Solo Performance
- Best Pop Duo/Group Performance
- Best Pop Vocal Album
