Kylie Jenner sued over ‘lip bite’ design on lip kits

Kylie Jenner has been accused of copying someone else’s design for her infamous ‘lip bite’ on the front of the Kylie Cosmetics packaging and now she has another lawsuit on her hands.

It seems that the Kardashian family can’t go a whole week without a lawsuit and this time it’s over the “lip bite” on the front of Kylie Cosmetics’ lip kits. This isn’t even the first time that Kylie has been called out for allegedly using another makeup artist’s work as part of her beauty line.

A few months back, Instagram makeup artist Vladamua called Kylie Jenner out on the social media outlet over pictures that were just too close for comfort. Vladamua was the first to debut a picture of a model wearing a dark lip color and covering her eyes up with gold spray painted fingers. Not long after, Kylie posted an almost identical picture.

Now, an artist named Sara Pop is suing Kylie because she claims the KUWTK star stole design ideas from her too. Below is a picture of a pop art piece by Sara that she calls “Temptation.” She claims it looks way too similar to the picture of the front of Kylie Cosmetics lip kits.

That looks a lot like the picture on the lip kits right? Okay, now check out this Life of Kylie advertisement and pay special attention to the first few seconds.

That is pretty similar but is it worth a lawsuit? According to Daily EdgeKylie Jenner’s Life of Kylie imagery is “biting” off Sara Pope’s artwork.

However, there is something even more interesting to consider. Both images look eerily like something else that has made its way into pop culture.

Remember Rocky Horror Picture Show? What about the famous lips that sing the intro? Yeah, that’s right. Both Sara Pope’s art and Kylie Jenner’s “lip bite” are very obviously inspired by that 1975 cult classic.

In case you’re not familiar (and if you’re not, then you must be living under a rock!) we’ve included that picture as well.

Well, that should solve that. Considering how similar both Sara and Kylie’s work is to that 1975 original, shouldn’t the lawsuit just be called off? It certainly seems that way.
