Kim and Kanye not interested in continuing Taylor Swift feud because they already won

The Taylor Swift feud has been reignited after the singer slithered out of hiding to release a Kimye diss track.

As far a Kim Kardashian is concerned, the recently reignited Taylor Swift feud is a one woman show. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has made it clear that she and Kanye don’t want to engage with Swift after the release of “Look What You Made Me Do.” The reason for Kim’s resistance to take Taylor’s bait is simple; why take part in any battle that you’ve already won?

The whole Taylor Swift feud started in 2009 when Kanye West rushed the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards during Taylor’s acceptance speech and proclaimed that Beyonce shouldn’t have done it. Kanye should have stayed in his seat. He was in the wrong, we get that.

Several years later, Kanye apologized for the stunt and even acknowledged that Taylor is a pretty decent musician. They made nice at the 2015 Grammys and it seemed like everything was going to be cool between Kanye and Taylor.

Kanye even talked about making music with Taylor. Seriously, it seemed like the beef was squashed after six long years.

“She wants to get in the studio, and we’re definitely going to go in,” Kanye said. “Any artist with an amazing point of view, perspective, fan base, I’m down to get in the studio and work. I don’t discriminate.”

Then he put her in his song “Famous” and the war started all over again. Taylor came out and said the song was “tasteless.” Kanye responded and reminded Swift that she knew about the song and even gave her consent.

“I called Taylor and had a hour long convo with her about the line, and she thought it was funny and gave her blessings,” Kanye wrote on Twitter.

Instead of admitting that she knew all about the song prior to its release, a rep for Taylor released a statement that said, “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account.”

“She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message,” the statement continued. “Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous.’”

It wasn’t long after that when Taylor took home a Grammy and used her platform to villainize Kanye West some more. Her speech can be seen below.

“As the first woman to win album of the year at the Grammys twice,” Taylor said, “I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame.”

That was enough for Kim Kardashian and she started speaking out in Kanye’s defense. She wanted everyone to know the truth about Kanye West and his Taylor Swift feud that was quickly reigniting.

“She totally approved that,” Kim told GQ in an interview. “She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn’t. I swear, my husband gets so much s**t for things he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved.”

During the GQ interview, Kim even hinted that Kanye West had the telephone conversation recorded. She explained that much of Kanye’s life is on film just in case he decides someday that he wants to do a documentary.

It was soon after that when Kim must have actually found the tape because, as we all know, she shared it. Kim took to Snapchat with video of the phone call between Kanye and Taylor. In it, you can clearly hear the pop star’s voice as she and Kanye discussed the song he was working on and she totally gave consent.

Taylor Swift was also outed because she never warned Kanye about anything when he spoke about the song. He also never asked Swift to release it for him.

Soon after Kim posted the video to Snapchat, the tide started to turn on Taylor. So did many of her fans as #KimExposedTaylorParty trended on Twitter.

Taylor Swift responded quickly on Instagram in an attempt to redeem herself. It didn’t seem to help much as she was completely exposed for throwing so much shade at Kanye and claiming that she was caught off guard when she did, in fact, take a call with him.

“Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me ‘that b***h’ in his song?” Taylor ranted. “It doesn’t exist because it never happened. You don’t get to control someone’s emotional response to being called ‘that bitch’ in front of the entire world.”

So she knew about the song but not two words of it and that is the basis for villainizing Kanye in the press and on the Grammy’s stage? You can’t even be mad at Kim and Kanye for putting Taylor on blast. She deserved it.

The Taylor Swift feud ends, Kim won

As seen in the feature photo, pop culture fans marked Swift being outed as the end of her career. And it was for a while as she slinked off to lick her wounds and figure out a way to come back from being exposed.

Swift is attempting to make a comeback more than a year after she was outed for her dishonesty. Kim has made it clear that she doesn’t really care about Taylor. As far as the KUWTK star is concerned, she won. She outed Taylor, Twitter mourned the end for her and life has moved on.

Even though Swift can’t seem to stop taking shots at Kim and Kanye, as far as they are concerned, the Taylor Swift feud is over. It was won when Kim posted the video on Snapchat and proved that Kanye wasn’t lying.

Anything that happens from this point forward is just Swift attempting to recover. As long as she’s still taking jabs and poking fun of Kim Kardashian’s Paris robbery or releasing her album on the anniversary of Donda West’s death, Taylor is just proving how petty she is.
