The Kardashians on the FanSided Fandom 250: KUWTK fandom lands in the top 3 celebrities

The Kardashians are bigger than Oprah, Y’all!

The FanSided Fandom 250 was released this week and that’s always kind of an exciting time around here. The Kardashians were on the list this year, as they should be. However, we’ve got big plans to push for a better spot next year. Currently, the Kardashians are holding the number three spot in the celebrities category. In the entire Fandom 250, the Kardashians rank number 41.

While we all know that the KUWTK stars are famous enough to dominate the headlines on a daily basis and deserve a top spot in the FanSided Fandom 250, We’re still pretty proud of where we did land, considering some of the star power that the Kardashians were up against. After all, the famous reality TV family did move up three spots from last year and we have plans to move up even more when the list comes out next year.

There were two celebrity fandoms who came in higher than the Kardashians. They were a bit surprising but keep in mind that the ranking is dependent on several factors including interaction with the fans and the fandom itself.

In the second place spot on the celebrity list was Stephen Colbert. Yes, the late night politi-comedian beat out the KUWTK stars and we’re just as surprised as you. We can’t deny that The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has become a late night TV powerhouse and the fans who continue to support Colbert are pretty powerful too. Congrats on beating the Kardashians, Stephen Colbert. You’ll need to put some work in if you want to do it again.

The number one celebrity on the FanSided Fandom 250 list in 2017 was Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Considering that he was also the highest paid movie star of the year, it’s not too shocking that he won.

Dwayne Johnson has his hands in multiple different projects and draws fans from all walks of life. He’s gone from WWE star to top-grossing movie star to executive producer of the HBO hit Ballers. Some may wonder how Johnson has the time or energy to keep up with all the different projects he’s been involved with. The Rock has been busy growing his empire and he gets extra love because he always makes time for his fans.

Why has Keeping Up With The Kardashians been so successful after 10 years on the air, multiple spinoffs and even more beauty product launches? Probably because the Kardashians and Jenners still seem to love what they do. They are an incredibly close-knit family who loves each other and support each other in everything.

There is sibling rivalry and we’d be lying if we said they never fought. But overall, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie are insanely close sisters. Even though Rob Kardashian has seen his share of trouble, especially this year, he is very close with his siblings too. Not to mention Kris Jenner, the momager who manages it all and somehow managed to literally take over reality TV with her famous family.

Of course, KUWTK fans are incredibly supportive too, which is why the Kardashians ranked as high as they did. It’s worth noting that with the support of those who show love for the OGs of reality TV, we managed to outrank powerhouses like Shonda Rhimes and Stephen King.

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot has a huge following and managed to rank number seven in the FanSided Fandom 250. The Kardashians even beat out Wonder Woman. Those ladies over at Culturess might even be shocked to hear that they beat out the Chris trio (Pine, Evans, and Hemsworth) who managed to take the ninth spot together.

Jordan Peele is becoming a living legend and ranked at number 13 on the list, which puts him behind our favorite reality stars. Likewise, the Oprah fandom came in at number 15 and we know how much people love her. The Kardashians beat Oprah in the fandom rankings. That is huge!

Other fandoms that we’re proud to have topped this year include that of Emma Watson, Donald Glover, and Ellen DeGeneres. All of which have huge fan bases and deserve all the accolades that they got. The Kardashians also topped KUWTK lovers, Jennifer Lawrence and Chrissy Teigen.
