Kim Kardashian speaks out after Florida school massacre
In the wake of another senseless tragedy, Kim Kardashian is getting vocal.
Yesterday, there was another school shooting. This time, Florida was the affected state. It is not the first school shooting in 2018, and unfortunately, it probably won’t be the last. The big gun control debate is in full force today, and it will likely be front and center for at least the next few days.

When news broke about the shooting, Kim Kardashian took to social media to voice her stance. She tweeted about Congress getting involved. These are her exact words.
We owe it to our children and our teachers to keep them safe while at school. Prayers won't do this: action will. Congress, please do your job and protect Americans from senseless gun violence

Being political isn’t something that is new for Kim Kardashian. She has been using her platform to spread awareness, though more of it is needed.
Aside from her statement on the Florida shooting, she retweeted several other things that pertained to what happened. An AK-15 was the weapon of choice, the weapon that killed 17 people and injured many others. This is an assault rifle, it is for combat zones, not for civilian usage. Several of the deadliest shootings have been attributed to this weapon, which is what Kardashian retweeted to her followers.
Currently, she is receiving a lot of pushback because of her statements. Kim Kardashian is being bombarded with statements like gun control won’t fix things, and the right to have guns. Of course, she was only voicing her stance on the issue, just like everyone else.
