Kris Jenner opens up about losing her dad on Keeping Up With The Kardashians

Kris Jenner’s mom is featured on Keeping Up With The Kardashians from time to time and everyone loves MJ but it’s rare that Kris even talks about her dad. 

While making the Kris Jenner legacy video, Scott Disick sat down with the KUWTK momager and interviewed her. He asked a range of questions and some were much more personal than other. The most significant thing we learned about Kris during this special episode has to do with her own father.

Kris revealed that her father’s name was Robert Houghton and he was an engineer. Scott seemed pretty impressed to learn that Mr. Houghton worked for big companies like Boeing and that ultimately, his job took him away from his family when Jenner was young.

It was also revealed that after years of being away, Robert Houghton moved back to San Diego and began rebuilding his relationship with his daughter.

Sadly, Kris’ time with her dad was very short. She told Scott that he was only back in her life for about four years before passing away unexpectedly and in the most shocking way. It turns out that Robert was vacationing in Mexico with his then-girlfriend when the two were involved in a car accident that took his life.

We knew that Kris Jenner’s legacy video would reveal a lot of things that Keeping Up With The Kardashians fans didn’t know. The story of her father is one of those and I’d be lying if I said that I haven’t wondered about Kris’s dad and what happened to him from time to time. Especially knowing how important family is to Kris and how closely she keeps an eye on her mom.

There are likely a lot more stories that Kris Jenner has to tell. While the debate rages on social media about whether or not the Keeping Up With The Kardashians matriarch is the most interesting woman in the world or not, it’s safe to say that she is definitely up there.
