Kim Kardashian is fiercely defending herself against haters! After the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star received a mountain of criticism for debuting her pregnancy shapewear line, she responded with a lengthy message of her own.

According to Kim, her new products were designed not to slim, but to “support” expecting bodies, making the pregnancy journey more comfortable.

“To anyone who has an issue with maternity solutionwear, and if you haven’t been pregnant before you may not know the struggle of what it’s like carrying all of this weight the way I did along with millions of strong women, @skims maternity line is not to slim but to support,” Kim tweeted on September 13.

“The belly part doesn’t slim your belly,” the mom-of-four assured naysayers. “It’s actually sheer and a thinner layered material compared to the rest of the garment. It provides support to help with the uncomfortable weight being carried in your stomach which affects your lower back -and the compression on the leggings helps with pain relief caused by swelling.”

Kim was also sure to say she designed the product while keeping her own pregnancy in mind, curating a collection that would have helped her back in the day.

“We launched this category in response to the tens of thousands of pregnant women who wrote us requesting it and because it was something I personally needed when I was pregnant myself,” KKW insisted.

Kim’s message makes total sense, but that didn’t stop the haters from coming out in full force to respond.

“I’ve carried and birthed three babies. I’m not for this. The way people treated you when you were pregnant was totally awful. You didn’t deserve it. But please don’t pass that off to other women. Pregnant women should just let their bodies be what they are,” one person tweeted.

Perhaps the biggest critic of all was Jameela Jamil. The actress and activist shared a lengthy message slamming the concept of pregnancy shapewear not long after Kim announced the line.

Kim’s heart appears to be in the right place, but the internet remains very divided on her latest SKIMS line.
