On September 9, Kim Kardashian dropped the shocking news that the forthcoming season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians would be the second-to-last. It’s sad revelation for Kardashian-Jenner fans, yes, but they still have lots of excitement to expect from the upcoming seasons.

When the 19th season of KUWTK premieres on September 17, it’s going to be chock-full of drama (per usual) and will be nostalgic as fans ready to say goodbye to the long-running show. It’s probably best to be prepared, so here’s what you can expect from the season premiere.

1. More reconciliation between Khloe and Tristan

In season 18, KUWTK fans saw Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson move towards a healthier place in their relationship while co-parenting baby True. In the new season, they’ll continue to repair their relationship. In a trailer, Tristan selflessly offered KoKo his house while her mansion was getting renovated.

2. Scott’s rehab stint

News of Scott Disick’s recent rehab stint broke in May and coincided with the end of his relationship with Sofia Richie. While the scandal was largely swept under the rug, it will take center stage in the new season of the reality show, according to a trailer.

3. Lots of family time

According to Entertainment Tonight, a big reason the famous family plans to cease filming is because they’re more focused on family life than ever before.

“There was no big reason why the family decided to end KUWTK; it was a mutual decision,” a source told the site. “The kids who started the show now have their own kids and it’s getting very hard to film all together or get enough footage separately.”

Given this intel, we’ll surely be seeing more from each individual KarJenner family.

4. More adjustment to COVID-19 life

In season 18, fans caught a glimpse into how the Kardashians were beginning to adjust to life during the global pandemic and the next season will delve into that even deeper. As Kim previously revealed on her Instagram, the family was self-filming episodes, so fans can expect some episodes to be shot from iPhones.

5. Lots of emotion

With the end of an era just around the corner, there will surely be lots of tearful moments packed into this season of KUWTK.
