Out of all the release dates and announcements being made during this year’s Disney Investor Day, you might not have realized even the Kardashian-Jenner family would be coming through with some major news of their own. Well, guess what! The famous family is not done with reality television just yet–they’ve officially made a deal with Hulu.
As reported by CNBC, the Kardashian-Jenners will be creating new content for Hulu exclusively in the U.S., with a release date looking to be in late 2021. The publication confirmed that Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian, as well as Kris, Kendall, and Kylie Jenner will all be involved.
A few members of the family have already taken to Twitter to announce the surprising news, all seemingly very excited to make the big move from E! to Hulu. You can see Kris Jenner’s happy social media post below, in which she reveals that this is a multi-year deal.
Shocked? So is just about everyone. The Kardashian-Jenners announced earlier this year that their long-running show Keeping Up With the Kardashians would be coming to a close in 2021 with season 20. At the time, it was speculated that the sisters were no longer interested in sharing every detail of their lives on television, something that helped them become famous in the first place.
Kourtney was no doubt the one person in the family who seemed to have the most reservations about being on KUWTK, even quitting during one point and then returning with a smaller role. Kylie has also expressed interest in leading a more private life during her short-lived reality series Life of Kylie.
Needless to say, we’re now reevaluating our theories as to why KUWTK is ending. Perhaps the famous family no longer has a good relationship with E!, or maybe they’re getting more money from Hulu. Honestly, it could be both. However, that’s just up for speculation right now.
We’ll be waiting (not so patiently) for more news about the Kardashian-Jenners’ move to Hulu!
