Kim Kardashian hits 200 million followers on Instagram
Kim Kardashian just hit a new social media milestone. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star reached 200 million followers on Instagram as of January 17, and she’s already celebrating. “200 MIL. thank you so much for the love,” she thanked her followers in a post.
Kim has a lot of people watching her every move, but she’s still not the most-followed person on the app. That title goes to Cristiano Ronaldo who has 255 million+ followers. Ariana Grande trails just behind him with 216 million followers. But as this rate, Kim is catching up quick!
Even with the new benchmark, Kim Kardashian is the second most-followed person in her family. Kylie Jenner takes the cake, with 210 million followers and counting on her profile. Meanwhile, Kendall Jenner is next in line after Kim with 148 million fans following her on the ‘gram.
Khloe Kardashian boasts 127 million followers on her popular Instagram page, with Kourtney Kardashian trailing about 20 million behind her at 107 million. With a combined following of nearly 800 million people, it’s no wonder the Kardashian-Jenner sisters have built such a massive empire for themselves!

With such a large fanbase, the KarJenners have made a point to keep their inner circle tight. At the top of the year, Kylie Jenner conducted a massive social media cleanse, unfollowing the majority of the people on her following list. Now, her list includes mostly family and a small handful of friends.
In the past, Kim has spoken out about the importance of not getting too wrapped up in social media. When she appeared as a keynote speaker at the 23rd World Congress on Information Technology convention in October 2019, she admitted the key is finding balance. “There is a way to have both and to share but not feel like your whole life is being used just for social media. You do have to have balance,” she said.
Coming from social media royalty, it’s some sound advice.
