Kanye West and Irina Shayk photographed together as romance rumors continue

In the news absolutely no one saw coming, it looks like Kanye West is moving on from Kim Kardashian quicker than we expected and it’s with the last person we’d ever imagine. After a few weeks of rumors claiming the “Closed on a Sunday” rapper was dating supermodel Irina Shayk, they’ve been spotted out together while vacationing in France. Are these two actually a couple? Let’s investigate.

The latest paparazzi photos come from the Daily Mail (click here to see them), which see Kanye and Irina smiling while on a walk in Provence, France. They were spotted together on Tuesday, June 8, which was the father-of-four’s 44th birthday.

Are Kanye West and Irina Shayk dating?

According to a source from People, it was Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband who initiated the international trip, as he invited the 35-year-old Russian star to France with him. Here’s what else the insider had to say about their current relationship:

"“They have known each other professionally for years. He started pursuing her a few weeks ago. Kanye is a persuasive guy. He hung out with her in NYC before they celebrated his birthday in France.”"

The source clarified where they stand, saying: “They are not officially dating, but there is an interest from both sides.”

So Kanye and Irina aren’t officially boyfriend-girlfriend, but a lavish trip to one of the most romantic countries in the world seems like a big step. Unlike us normal folk, however, they can afford to take spontaneous vacations like this, even if they don’t mean anything serious. We’ll be keeping a close eye on where they go from here.

Previously, Irina dated actor Bradley Cooper from 2015 to 2019, and the two share a daughter named Lea De Seine. For Kanye’s part, of course, he’s currently going through a highly-publicized divorce from Kim Kardashian. After being friends for years, Kim and Kanye officially tied the knot in 2014. The two stars share four children together — North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
