Kris Jenner reportedly convinced Kim Kardashian to attend Kanye West’s listening party

Though we’ve heard that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were on good terms amid their divorce, we weren’t expecting the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star to attend her baby daddy’s album listening party two weeks ago. It came as a shock to many when she attended the event alongside Khloe Kardashian, proving that perhaps the reality stars were closer with the rapper than what met the eye.

Well, a new report is explaining why Kim felt the need to attend the Donda party on July 22, and it kind of makes sense. According to Hollywood Life, the mom-of-four showed face at the event because her mother, Kris Jenner, thought it was the right thing to do. Along with Kim and Khloe, Kim and Kanye’s children North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm were in attendance as well.

An insider tells Hollywood Life: “Kris is the main reason you saw Kim supporting Kanye at his album launch.”

While Kim has been posting a ton on social media and updating her fans since the news of her divorce broke, Kanye has been noticeably quiet. He’s only used his Instagram to promote Donda — which has still not been released — and to unfollow most of the Kardashian family. However, his personal life has made headlines more than Kim’s, as he apparently moved on with someone new pretty quickly.

Back in May, it was first reported that Kanye was seeing model Irina Shayk, who previously dated actor Bradley Cooper. The two were spotted together on multiple occasions and surprisingly, it was reported that Kim supported the relationship. For Kim’s part, she’s been single, although she’s sparked rumors that perhaps a new man was in her life. This, of course, is just speculation.

So it looks like Kim and Kanye are on civil terms, but when it comes to supporting one another via attending events, perhaps Kris had to do a little bit of persuading.
