A source tells People Magazine that West and Kardashian’s current “friendly relationship” is strictly platonic yet beneficial for both parties. Kim Kardashian receives business advice from her soon-to-be ex-husband and Kanye West has a friend that he can rely on when things get rocky, which is certainly a win-win for everyone involved. It seems these two are beginning to understand each other much better, finding a common appreciation for one another amid their divorce.

"Kim still appreciates Kanye’s business advice and guidance. She is happy that they can hang out. For a long time, Kanye was very upset and disappointed that Kim filed for divorce. She understood why and gave him space."

It goes without saying that repairing this friendship does not come without compromise from both individuals; the American rapper asked for his space to do what he desires including date other people and Kardashian wanted him to spend more time with his kids when he’s not focused on his career and desired better communication. What was initially a rather difficult request for the pair to each grant one another, fortunately, turned into a common ground where they can both see eye to eye.
