Kim Kardashian is giving us interesting details about her life, especially the various things that fans are pretty concerned about.
According to Elle, the Skkn founder appeared on the Today Show and talked about how it felt to find love again post-Kanye West. She stated:
"I just took 10 months to just be by myself, and soak it in and figure out what that’s like to be by myself, and then after that I was like, ‘Okay, I’m ready [to date again].’ And it [my romance with Davidson] was so pleasantly unexpected."
Continuing, Kardashian mentioned that it “feels good” to be around someone as hilarious as Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson and that his supportive nature is truly a godsend.
While it’s good to know that Kardashian took some time to re-center herself after her divorce and that she has yet to have a dull moment with Davidson, we, along with fans, desperately wanted to know more about her decision to introduce Davidson to her kids despite the relationship still in the early stages. Thankfully, she divulged all the specifics.
Kim Kardashian opens up about Pete Davidson meeting her kids
Contrary to popular belief, Kim Kardashian thought long and hard about her decision to let Pete Davidson meet her kids. So much so that she sought the advice of “a few therapists” and her eldest sister, Kourtney Kardashian, who is in the same boat with her ex-partner, Scott Disick. Even with the backing of various experienced people, Kardashian waited until she was ready to take that huge next step.
“I definitely wanted to wait six months and that was the marker,” Kim Kardashian explained. “It’s different for everyone and different things work for different people. But you just have to do what feels right and try to just be as respectful and cautious as possible.”
It seems like the 41-year-old’s strategy paid off because Davidson looks to be getting along with Kardashian’s four kids, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, exceptionally well. Earlier this month, actually, Davidson went shopping with Saint West in Los Angeles, California.
Despite their relationship progressing to the point where the comedian can chill with the four children, the verdict is still out on whether Pete Davidson is allowed to be there when the kids celebrate birthdays, sports games, and holidays or not. After all, Kanye West (at the time) seemed very against the idea of Davidson being around for the Christmas holiday, meaning he may still not be the biggest fan of his kids being around Davidson.
Nevertheless, we’re sure that Kim Kardashian will find a way to make it work for everyone as she always does.
