Khloé Kardashian and her children, True and Tatum Thompson, still can't get over the joy in their newest family addition, Peppermint. The black Labrador puppy arrived on Christmas morning, wrapped in a big red box and adorned with a matching ribboned collar. She was welcomed into her forever home with open arms and Tatum's unfiltered commentary!
Khloé's 8-year-old daughter had indeed wanted a puppy of her own since her birthday, and while her mother couldn't get it then, she made it up to her on December 25. To say that True was surprised is an understatement, as she went beyond the moon to meet her new four-legged best friend.
To preserve the magic of Christmas, Khloé captured it all on video and uploaded the final version to her YouTube Channel. It was a special treat for her 1.13 million subscribers as this behind-the-scenes look is a rare unwrapping into the star's family life. While we saw snippets of Khloé's adventures on social media, seeing the "puppy process" takes it to a whole new emotional level.
Khloé Kardashian and her kids meet Peppermint for the first time
In the near-four-minute video, Khloé brings out Peppermint in a box with a ribbon in the style of Disney's Lady and the Tramp. But before she could get into the celebration with her children, the Good American founder provided a whispered introduction.
"Okay, it's Christmas morning 2025, and my kids are still sleeping. I've had like 2-3 hours of sleep, maybe. True is not too far away from me, so I'm whispering. True has been asking for a puppy
since her birthday. I have wanted a puppy for so long, and the fact that she wants a black lab [and] wants a puppy. I'm so excited! We are getting a puppy!"
The unveiling was met with True in disbelief as she and Khloé bond over Peppermint. Tristan could be heard in the background, possibly filming his family's reactions to the new "baby." Meanwhile, Tatum is in an unfiltered mood, so to speak, and it is typical of children his age. He doesn't believe that the pup is "real," despite his parents trying to tell him that she is. But he's sticking to his story, for the time being.
Usually, it's inhumane to give pets as gifts during the holidays, as people tend to change their minds after the fact, and the animals are dropped off at shelters. However, it's apparent that Khloé was well-prepared for this moment, and Peppermint will be a wonderful member of the family.
At the end, True says something very sweet about her new puppy:
"I love her so much. I love her as a puppy. And I love her as a human, too."
Aww! That's exactly how I feel about my dogs too!
