Kim Kardashian took her kids a night on the town when the family dined at Mel's Drive In to savor the new limited-edition SKIMS menu. The meals include old-school hamburgers, pancakes, and classic milkshakes that will fill a hungry stomach after shopping at the new SKIMS store in West Hollywood.

It was the drive-in's last day for the SKIMS pop-up special, and Kim wanted to celebrate it with a bang before saying goodbye. I'm sure she could recreate the SKIMS logo on the pancakes or fry up the spiralized French fries at home, but it's a whole other vibe when you go out to eat to experience it. Kim wanted to share that with her kids so they could savor her success.

Naturally, the SKIMS founder documented her family's dine-in adventure, giving her followers a personal glimpse of her Sunday. It's not unusual for Kim to share what goes on in her life, but at the same time, the excitement from the other "side" is raw and real.

Kim Kardashian dishes up the SKIMS at Mel's Drive In

On April 6th, Kim and three of her kids-Saint, Chicago, and Psalm- took a break from their at-home dinners and ate at the infamous diner that has been around since the late 1940s. After a decline in the 1970s, Mel's was brought back for the next wave of customers.

Kim uploaded an Instagram Carousel of her kids enjoying their time and hers. The reality star wore a sheer beige top with matching capris and Lucite heels in the set. She poses in front of a vintage car with the license plate reading "SKIMS" in bold yellow font. Kim then has a snap of herself taking a sip from her cherry-topped milkshake and a bite of syrup-ed pancakes.

Following their meal, Kim and the kids engaged in a photo booth session, which was included in the Carousel's clip. A large fan group came out to see her at the diner, which must have been a cool thing, as Kim tries to connect with the fanbase, for it helped get her to where she is now.

"Family night at SKIMS Mel's Drive In," she writes for the caption.

The SKIM Mel's Drive In experience correlated with the new opening of the new Flagship store in West Hollywood. It was a great marketing strategy to gain publicity and sales. When you use food instead of traditional advertising formats such as clothes or models, expect a much larger reaction and profit.
