Kim Kardashian has always been camera ready since the 1990s, as if she always knew that it would be a part of her career one day. Flash forward to more than thirty years later, and Kim’s submerged in cameras. When you’re one of the world’s top celebrities, photos are a must.
In an Instagram post that the reality star posted on Thursday, March 13th, she gave a glimpse of her pre-famous self to her near 360 million followers. Believe it or not, she was once a child with bigger than life dreams. The post, which has already mastered close to 350K likes, captures the aura, and a moment frozen in time.

In her post, Kim shared three Kodak photos layered on beige carpeting in her Hidden Hills home. The photos reflect a ten-year-old Kim, as she does different poses in her family’s living room. Her outfit is from the the early 1990s, consisting of a black short-sleeved top trimmed with white and a pair of black denim shorts. For a touch of glam, the young SKIMS founder traced her lips with a soft brown lipstick.
If you need any more proof that the photos are from the ‘90s, check out the old-school TV in the corner and Kim holding a soft toy. Other indicators include brown furniture and dark exposure film from the camera.

As the 1990s is one of Kim’s favorite decades, she loves dressing in the archival fashions from high-end designers for events. Her latest archival was at the Pre-Oscar Dinner on March 2nd. The event was hosted by Chanel and David Finch, and Kim work a black ballerina-inspired dress. She was channeling one of this year’s hottest trends, Goth Glam.
It was the the early Y2K period where Kim got her claim to fame. She was photographed with one of her best friends, Paris Hilton. The women hit all of LA’s hotspots at the time, and gaining a massive following when social media was in its early days. Think MySpace and Friendster, as Instagram and Twitter were introduced in 2012 and 2006 respectively.
Then, E! took notice and filmed Kim and her family for fourteen years for Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Who would’ve thought that the world would take such a strong interest with the Kardashian and Jenner women? Then you realize, that despite wealth and fame, they only want to share their life stories, with hopes that others would connect.
Be rest assured that whenever a camera is around, Kim will likely find it.
