Kim Kardashian speaks up about the Los Angeles ICE Raids: 'We can't turn a blind eye'

Kim Kardashian bravely uses her Instagram platform to lay out her stance on the ongoing Los Angeles ICE Raids. If you haven't been keeping up with the news, ICE officials, the National Guard, and now the Marines, have invoked violent attacks on immigrants. The attacks have led to retaliation, a result that has caused national outbursts.

It's horrifying and shouldn't be happening on any soil, as no matter who one is or where they're from originally, they're human beings with families, lives, and jobs, trying to create a better future and wellbeing. At one point in time, every American had immigrant ancestors, who had to prove themselves and work their way up for success. Shouldn't the same ambition be applied to today's immigrants?

In the past, Kim has used her voice for prison reform, animal rights (Oh, yes, she did), and addressing the Los Angeles Wildfires disaster. She's a woman of aspirations; if she sets her mind on it, she'll achieve it. Like many of us, the ICE situation has shaken Kim, too, so she's using her social media to inform her followers about what's happening in her city.

What did Kim Kardashian say about the Los Angeles IC Riots?

On June 10, Kim took to her Instagram Stories and curated a short essay concerning the riots that began on June 6 and are still occurring as of this writing. What started as peaceful, merged into a nightmarish lens, and inhumane acts.

In her post, the reality star quoted her viewpoint, emphasizing that immigrants are a part of our American structure.

"When we're told that ICE exists to keep our country safe and remove violent criminals- great. But when we witness innocent, hardworking people being ripped from their families in inhumane ways, we have to speak up. We have to do what's right."

Kim then highlighted her childhood, seeing how immigrants have made a lasting part in the community and called out that we must do better as a society to the situation.

"Growing up in LA, I've seen how deeply immigrants are woven into the fabric of this city. They are our neighbors, friends, classmates, coworkers, and family. No matter where you fall politically, it's clear that our communities thrive because of the contributions of immigrants. We can't turn a blind eye when fear and injustice keep people from living their lives freely and safely."

"There has to be a better way."

The post comes after fans bombarded Kim in the comments section of her 'closet' Instagram post. Whether she decided to share her viewpoints on the ICE Raids can't be determined. Hopefully, others will take notice and devise a better solution to these dismal events.
