Kourtney Kardashian is getting into Mama Bear mode regarding her oldest son, Mason Disick. In the past few days, social media profiles have uploaded conspiracy videos about whether Mason- whom Kourtney shares and co-parents with her ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick- has fathered a child.
As a parent, Kourtney will do whatever it takes to protect the privacy and welfare of her children, and she's 100% in the right to do so. Given that she and her family are constantly in the spotlight with their media and business empires, it doesn't mean that rumors or harmful content surrounding their kids should happen.
Social media can offer positivity in the right spaces, but unfortunately, negativity can also be born from it. That's a significant problem, especially when it concerns minors. This toxic phenomenon has been going on since online platforms were first launched in the 1990s, and if safety is still an issue, then we must speak up about it.
What Kourtney Kardashian said about the rumors surrounding Mason Disick
Kourtney used her Instagram Stories on March 2nd to address social media who have uploaded false narratives about Mason to stop. In her post, the reality star admits that while she rarely comments on the falsifications of her family, there are exceptions that she'll take a moment to express her emotions.
"I rarely address rumors or conspiracies regarding myself or my family," she began. "But this is about my child and it feels wrong to let anyone think for a second that these lies are remotely true. They are not. Mason doe not have a child. These accounts that pretend to be him are definitely not [him]. They are FAKE."
The Poosh founder further elaborated that the teen prefers to live out of the limelight and cameras, and she wants the stories to stop and respect his wishes.
"My son really values his privacy, and I am asking all media to be please be respectful: He is a kid with feelings and a beautiful life ahead of him. Please stop spreading false narratives and spinning lies. And to all the other people making videos about my kids (who, by the way, are minors), please stop and leave them alone."

Back in May 2024, Mason launched his official Instagram profile and has accrued over 870K followers. His posts contain snaps of him and his friends living the teen life, as they should.
Whether you love them, hate them, or have a neutral perspective about the Kardashians and Jenners, their children should be off limits to the toxic online atmosphere.
