Kim Kardashian highlights New York with North West and Sushi

Kim Kardashian is painting the Big Apple that's New York City a bright yellow. During her recent trip to New York, the reality star stopped by Jimmy Fallon to promote her collab with Beats, and she took along her daughter, North West, and her cute Pomeranian, Sushi.

While North and Sushi didn't appear on the talk show, Kim treated the girls to some fashionable time on the town. There's much to see and do in New York, such as shopping, five-star restaurants, Broadway, and historical sites, so it's no wonder that Manhatten is one of the Kardashian family's favorite travel spots. And for North, she had her 11th birthday party at the American Dream Mall in June.

On Instagram, Kim showcased her New York experience with golden yellows, her daughter, and her pomeranian in tow. The reality star looked Y2K chic dressed in a vintage yellow Miu Miu bias-cut tube top, gold suede wide-legged pants, and a matching handbag. She kept her dark hair simple by letting it cascade down her shoulders in beachy, loose waves.

On the other hand, North gave a more ostentatious presentation about her fashion choice. The 11-year-old wore a blue argyle sweater vest over a collared white shirt and patterned blue cargo shorts. She accessorized her creative outfit with Nikes, blue-striped tube socks, and a furry hat.

The real point of interest in the carousel is Sushi. While she's not wearing any designer duds, we think she's perfectly fine just being naturally fluffy and looking at Kim with total love as she's being carried in her arms. I have four small dogs myself, and they feel safer when held in a highly pedestrian area.

However, there was a motive for Kim to decide to wear yellow, and it was to playfully "troll" Fallon. The Late Night host chose a bright mustard hue for his Beats headphones, while Kim opted for neutral tones.

Following her NYC venture, Kim stopped in Washington, DC, before returning to Hidden Hills. The purpose of DC was to visit the first on-site SKIMS Store in Georgetown. This year, the fashion company plans to extend by opening locations dotted around the US.

For Kim, visiting "the first SKIMS Store in Georgetown was a dream come true!"
