The Kardashians season 5 episode 1 preview: Welcome To My Mind
We're so ready for the much-awaited return of The Kardashians this week on Hulu! The last time we saw the infamous media family was back in November 2023, when season 4 wrapped up. In the finale, Kourtney and Travis Barker celebrated their gender reveal party, while Kim balances life as an actress as she prepped for her AHS role as Siobhan.
Season 5 will premiere on Thursday, May 23rd. According to the trailer released a couple of weeks ago, the next chapter of The Kardashians promises to be emotional and drama-filled. Khloé and Kim are feuding, and whatever the reason, we're positive that the sisters will make amends. It's not the reality show we all know and love if there isn't a feud (or two)!
As the first episode approaches, we have some juicy details about it, including the title, the synopsis, and what to expect.
A preview of The Kardashians season 5 episode 1
We have the official title!
The first episode of season 5 will be titled "Welcome to My Mind." We don't know exactly what the title refers to, but if we were to take a wild guess, it may have to do with everyone's unique situation. For instance, Kourtney might be emotional as she prepares for her baby's arrival and becomes a new mom again. Each pregnancy brings something new and exciting and could be challenging. In Kourtney's case, her pregnancy with Rocky Barker wasn't the smoothest, but it was a blessing.
"Welcome to My Mind" could also describe the intense fight between Kim and Khloé, as fights can cause emotional duress until it's settled, and even then, can leave a mark.
Or the title could be something else entirely. We just have to wait and see!
We have the official synopsis of "Welcome to My Mind!"
Hulu released the official synopsis of The Kardashians season 5 episode 1, "Welcome to My Mind," days before the premiere. The description offers a more in-depth expectation of who'll be featured.
"Kourtney navigates her pregnancy while Kris plans a baby shower; Khloé is presented with a fresh start while facing pressure from Kim to change her ways; Kendall and Kylie make time for an overdue sisterly catch up in Paris."
Breaking down the synopsis, we'll finally get a live, up-close "tour" of Kourtney and Travis's magical Disneyland baby shower and what it took to bring the party to life. Of course, we know that Kris Jenner planned it and recruited the best in the event business, as she and her family always do, but it still has an air of specialness as Rocky is her 13th grandchild.
Kourtney's baby shower featured Mickey Mouse pretzels and sugary churros, which made us drool. According to Kourtney's lifestyle blog, Poosh, she specifically requested the food for her party, but that was how far she went in terms of party planning. She left all of the control details to her mother and sisters.
The youngest family members, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, bond during Fashion Week in Paris and "catch up" on life events. It's good to see the sisters supporting their respective endeavors. Kendall and Kylie have a special relationship because of their young age and much in common. All the sisters do, as long as they don't fight.
We have a sneak peek!
Ahead of the May 23rd premiere, People got a sneak peek of what's to come in episode one. There's tension arising between Kim and Khloé, and the root of the issue lies with Kourtney. And the eldest Kardashian sibling isn't even in the visual.
Kim and Kris are on-flight to Paris Fashion Week, and Khloê opted not to go. She felt that she should run things at home, whether it be looking after her kids or other family members.
Per Khloé's confessional in the sneak peek, she clarifies her reasons for staying behind.
"Kourtney is at the very end of her pregnancy. I feel like someone has to be here. Even for all the kids, like God forbid there's a natural disaster. I just felt somebody has to be here."
You see, Kourtney is having a high-risk pregnancy within weeks of going into labor, and Khloé wants to be there for her. Kim, on the other hand, believes that Khloé should go out and enjoy life and not have to be at home constantly. But the youngest Kardashian sister isn't going to follow Kim's advice.
