Rob Kardashian may have stepped out of the spotlight to focus on a more reserved life, but that doesn't mean that he's been forgotten. Kim Kardashian ensured that her younger brother wasn't forgotten, as she gave an update in her latest Instagram post.
The June 25 social media upload was a birthday dedication to Kim's long-time best friend, La La Anthony. In the duo of snaps, Kim, La La, and Rob are all peering at the camera, getting together for the selfie. It's a sweet nod of the SKIMS founder to acknowledge both her friend and brother.
Kim is wearing a buckled black dress, complete with black and gold jewelry and a glossy lip. Meanwhile, La La is wearing a turquoise-trimmed dress and large hoop earrings. Rob, for his part, is more casual in a black sweatshirt and backward cap. The 38-year-old shares a smile with his 44-year-old sister as she snaps the selfies.
Kim added a sweet message to the former MTVTotal Request Live VJ in her caption.
"Happy birthday to my ace @lala! Truly the bestest friend a girl could ask for! I love you so much!!!! Today's your day!"
While it was La La's special day, as it marked her turning 43, all eyes were on Rob. In the comments, fans were ecstatic to see him, despite that the selfies are not the most current. Still though, getting an appearance by the only son of Robert Kardashian is better than not getting an appearance.
The last time we saw Rob was at the 2025 Easter celebration in April. He was there with his daughter Dream, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend, Angela White, formerly Blac Chyna. She and Rob had their own KUWTK spin-off reality show, Rob & Chyna, which premiered in 2016 and lasted for one season. It chronicled the former couple's lives, including the birth of their only child, Dream.
Here's why Rob Kardashian walked away from KUWTK
Rob stepped away from the KUWTK cameras during its later seasons, as he wanted to concentrate on his mental and physical well-being. Being on the shows wreaked havoc on his mental and physical well-being, and he thought retiring was the best choice. Another reason was to devote his time as a dad to Dream, although his sisters raised their kids on-screen.
As KUWTK transitioned into The Kardashians in 2022, Rob didn't return to join his family for their next media venture. However, he did make a few in-phone cameos in a handful of episodes.
