New report claims Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are getting a divorce

Between all the celebrity breakups in 2020, many people had their bets on Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to call it quits. The married couple, who wed back in 2014, have been rumored to be on the rocks for some time. Split speculation has basically run rampant for the parents-of-four in recent months, and it looks like the new year has brought potentially bad news for KimYe.

A new report circulating the internet claims they are indeed getting divorced.

The initial report published today comes from Page Six, who says that Kim Kardashian is finally done dealing with her entrepreneur hubby. As fans know, Kanye had quite an interesting and troublesome past year, including many alarming Twitter rants. His wife actually came to his defense on one occasion last year, asking her fans and the media to please respect their privacy in an Instagram Story.

“I kindly ask that the media and public give us the compassion and empathy that is needed so that we can get through this. Thank you for those who have expressed concern for Kanye’s well being and for your understanding,” Kim wrote at the time.

Well, it looks like Kim might not be on Kanye’s side any longer. According to the report, Kim is already hiring famed celebrity lawyer Laura Wasser for the divorce. “They are keeping it low-key but they are done,” a source tells Page Six, confirming that “divorce is imminent” for the two.

The latest we’d heard about the famous couple is that they were basically living “separate” lives, with a source noting last month, “Their lives don’t overlap much.” That said, insiders assured that the pair were still together.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West started dating publicly back in 2012, after years of being close friends. The start of their relationship was heavily documented on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, although Kanye has been noticeably pretty absent from the series in the years since.

Looking at Kim and Kanye in 2021, it seems like they’re on completely different pages when it comes to many aspects of their lives, including their careers, political stances, and values. Although they’ve started a beautiful life and family together, being the parents to North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, divorce might be the best thing for them.

Not so surprisingly, rumors have already started to swirl that Kim might be seeing someone else. In an anonymous submission to the Instagram page @deuxmoi, someone wrote that the reality star is dating someone new, and apparently the whole family knows about it. As of right now, of course, nothing is confirmed for Kim and Kanye.
